The Lime Martini™ Doublefile Viburnum Tree is more than just another plant. It's a statement, a declaration of style and grace for any garden or landscape. If you're not familiar with this remarkable shrub, you're in for a delightful discovery. The Lime Martini™ Doublefile Viburnum is a cultivar of the well-known Doublefile Viburnum. It's characterized by its striking lime-green foliage that provides a refreshing contrast in any garden setting, and by its layered, horizontal branching pattern which gives it the 'doublefile' moniker.

Lime Martini™ stands out with its vibrant green leaves, which can add brightness to a garden even on the gloomiest days. In the spring, expect a showcase of white lace-cap flowers that are both elegant and inviting.  The flowers will eventually give way to red berries in late summer, which not only add visual interest but are also a magnet for birds and other wildlife. As autumn arrives, the lime green leaves take on shades of purples and reds, ensuring that your garden remains colorful throughout the year.

Ideal Growing Conditions:

  • Zone: Hardy in USDA zones 5-8. Prefers full sun to partial shade. Adaptable to various soil types but thrives in well-drained soils that are moderately fertile. Use our HI-COTE 360 day fertilizer for best results and loner feeding. While it's drought-tolerant once established, it's essential to water regularly in its formative years. We offer Moisture Maxx wetting agent to help condition the soil for better water consumption and distribution.   Mature plants can reach up to 8-10 feet in height and spread, making it an excellent choice for as a specimen tree.

Care & Maintenance:

  1. Pruning: For the most part, Lime Martini™ Doublefile Viburnum requires minimal pruning. If needed, do it right after flowering to not sacrifice the next year's bloom.
  2. Pests & Diseases: It's relatively disease and pest-resistant. However, watch out for aphids and Viburnum beetle. If noticed, treat promptly.
  3. Mulching: A light mulch around the base can help retain soil moisture and prevent weed growth.

Landscape Ideas:

  • Stand Alone Tree:  Its dense growth makes it ideal for a season giving tree for the landscape or patio containers.
  • Specimen Plant: Given its multi-seasonal interest, it can be a garden's focal point.
  • Bird Gardens: The berries are a treat for many bird species.

Conclusion:

The Lime Martini™ Doublefile Viburnum is a dynamic choice for those looking to inject life and color into their landscapes. Whether you're an experienced gardener or just starting, this is one plant that promises to reward your efforts with year-round beauty. Consider making a toast to nature by introducing this exquisite shrub to your garden!
