This super star blooms in heavily in early Spring with clusters of 2 ½ -3” golden-yellow fragrant flowers on 10-12” tall stalks that last for weeks. The arching grass-like leaves make into a beautiful clump of beauty adding interest and wowing accents to the landscape. The main reason it is called the “perfect perennial” is that this variety is a repeat-boomer and will bloom Spring, Summer and Fall. Stella de Oro Daylily is super hardy and will thrive in zones 3-9 and is very easy to maintain.
Care
After flowering in the spring and fall, remove all spent flowers and seedpods to improve re-blooming and appearances. Simply cut the stalk off at the ground and discard. Fertilize in early spring with our HICOTE 360 day slow release fertilizer for maximum growth and plant health.
Uses
Stella de Oro Daylily is the perfect choice for borders or mass perennial beds, as slopped ground cover plantings or potted in containers for patios and decks. Plant 12” apart or every square foot for best results and appeal. Daylilies are great for erosion control as they will sprawl out and hold soil from washing away. If you have a dry area in your garden, Stella de Oro Daylily will perform great as it is very drought tolerant and very forgiving.
Limited Conditional Warranty: Warranty is limited to guaranteeing plants will arrive safely and in good and healthy condition, and is conditioned on Seller receiving prompt notice (within 24 hours of delivery) of any problem with the condition accompanied by photo validation. No other additional, extended or long-term Warranty is expressed or implied.
Minor broken branches and some leaf discoloration is considered cosmetic and normal for shipping plants through the mail. Keep in mind when if this happens these minor issues will not affect the health of your plants and trees.
Loose soil does not qualify for any warranty replacement. Simply put back in container and water thoroughly, let rest for a few days and then replant.
Ordering
Our processing time usually is 1-3 days after receiving the order. Orders taken after 4:00 pm on Wednesday through Sunday will be shipped the following Monday.
