Lovely Foxtail Fern has spring green, tendril-like fronds that offer year round garden pleasure in warmer climates and annual container excitement in cooler regions. Each frond dances in a different, giving it the look of seaweed waving underwater! In zones 9-11. Foxtail Fern planted in the ground will grow 2’ tall, spreading by underground tubers to 4’ wide. Trouble free with few pests and pruning to worry about, this member of the asparagus family is easy to grow in well-drained soil with average moisture. Used as a central thriller in a pot, the striking form commands attention. The spike-shaped branches hold up for weeks, bringing an unusual form and soft texture to cut flower arrangements. Tiny spring flowers yield to summer berries that turn red in the Fall.
