Why Soft Touch Holly?

Next to Compacta Holly, our Soft Touch Holly is our number two most requested Crenata Holly. Soft Touch Holly doesn’t get as tall as Compact or other Hollies, but it would be considered a second-tier plant for the foundation of the landscape. Flexible stems and soft, glossy foliage makes this holly easy to manage and take care of with less trimming and shaping. Thornless leaves are a bonus too, no more sticky plants to work around when trimming, weeding, and mulching.

What Do I Get?

Soft Touch Holly makes one of the best “small garden” shrubs to use. Mature height will reach 3’ by 3’ for most zones, but it can be maintained smaller for many years. The dark green foliage makes a great backdrop for perennials and annuals alike. Soft Touch blooms tiny white flowers in the spring and black hued berries in the fall, attracting bees and birds throughout the year.
