Blushing Pink Knockout Rose | Rosa ‘Radyod’

The Blushing Pink Knockout Rose is a star plant in any garden. Growing in zones 4-9, this awesome pink rose will lead the way for bees, hummingbirds and other pollinators. This gorgeous shrub is disease resistant and enjoys full sun to partial shade. It features 1 ½ inch flowers with a golden center that is truly mesmerizing.

The perfect shrub to build your garden around, the Blushing Pink Knockout Rose offers numerous possibilities. Growing 3-4 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide, the Blushing Pink Knockout Rose can be planted as a focal point plant or in containers as an accent around the garden or porch. It will be enjoyed all season, blooming from early spring into the fall. Add pop to your garden today with Blushing Pink Knockout Rose!

Care

Like other knockout roses, Blushing Pink Knockout Rose prefers neutral soil and should be planted 3 feet from each other to allow for ample room to spread. Dig a hole slightly larger than the container the rose came in and remember to backfill after planting. For best results, fertilize with a slow release formula after the first blooming cycle.

Pruning should be done in early spring just as new growth is forming. It should be cut back to 12 inches, removing about 1/3 of the plant's total size. Early spring is also a perfect time to add 2 to 3 inches of mulch around the base to insulate the plant. Pull the mulch slightly away from the stems. It is also a perfect container plant but will need to be protected during winter months if planted in a container. Place it inside a warm area to protect it during the winter months.

Uses in the Landscape

The Blushing Pink Knockout Rose, with its tight flowers and yellow center will captivate your imagination. Use it as the focal point. Place it in a planter on your porch or to complement other plants. This gorgeous pollinator will have the garden space buzzing in no time flat!

Companion Plants

Montana Mayleen Clematis is a great choice to let intertwine with Knockout Roses, as it will compliment the brilliant pink of Blushing Pink Knockout Rose while adding a depth of color to the shrub. Great for growing in containers as well, this queen of vines will complement the shrub rose beautifully.

Creeping Thyme makes for the perfect companion to Blushing Pink Knockout Rose, as it is pest resistant and will help deter certain pests like Japanese beetles and aphids. Since it is a low growing plant, it won’t outshine the beauty of the pink roses but will offer an accent with its equally beautiful reddish pink flowers and appealing lemon scent.

Primavera Spanish Lavender, with its purple flower spikes, is the perfect compliment to the round pink flowers of the Blushing Pink Knockout Rose. It is deer and rabbit resistant and therefore will help protect the shrub rose. Its tall, stunning flowers go well with the spiraled pink roses, adding height to the shrub.
