This handsome hedge shrub/tree stands 12-15’ tall and 3-5’ wide making it an excellent choice for small gardens and tight spots around the landscape. Perfect columnar upright habit lends itself to be used as an excellent hedge plant or border plant with specimen qualities for entrances and large container plantings. It is acceptable to call this evergreen shrub/tree cool and exciting.
Super hardy from zone 3-9, it will take or southern heat fairly well from our growing observations in Alabama. We have several test plantings here to see how it performs. Its dark green foliage and tight growth habit retains color and shape throughout the year, withstanding winter burn. Little or no pruning is required, so maintenance is a breeze, giving you more time on fussy shrubs or perennials. We recommend a little extra water during the “hot/dry” months to keep North Pole well hydrated and looking good. Using or SR-18-510 slow released fertilizer is a one and done for feeding your investment for the year.

Paired with other perennials, like Buttered Popcorn Daylilies or Yellow or Red Coneflowers, North Pole™ elevates every plant in its presence. A great backdrop for any color combination it is paired with. North Pole makes and excellent live Christmas Tree, either for the table in the home or outside as a specimen in the yard. Our 1-gallon pots make a great small live tree for the occasion and will look good throughout the holiday season.
Ordering:
Our processing time usually is 1-3 days after receiving the order. Orders taken after 4:00 pm on Wednesday through Sunday will be shipped the following Monday.
