Plant Nutrients: Slow Release vs. Liquid Fertilizers
4th Mar 2025
Know Your Plant Know Your Fertilizer. Choose balanced fertilizers with the right N-P-K ratio for your plants.
Slow Release: We use slow-release fertilizers like SR-18-5-10 at the nursery that usually last 8-10 months depending on weather conditions. In the Southern regions, slow-release fertilizer tends to last a shorter amount of time due to the high temperatures and rain. Northern climates will get longer release time due to cooler nights and a shorter growing period.
Liquid fertilizers: These work well indoors on houseplants and sensitive plants that might need a more refined nutritional program. With liquid feed, you can control growth better by opting to reduce the frequency and amount of nutrition while holding a plant in a smaller area.
