The plant's compact growth habit and well-rounded form make it a visually appealing choice for garden beds and borders.

The Panama™ Red Coneflower, with its outstanding hue and low maintenance requirements, is an excellent option for enhancing your garden with vivid shades and interesting textures. Whether utilized in various areas of your garden, such as containers, borders, mixed beds, or as a captivating focal point, this plant is sure to elevate the overall beauty of your garden all year round. This plant is an excellent addition to both wildlife gardens and pollinators, drawing in bees, birds, and of course, butterflies!

Planting Tips:

Selecting the right spot for your Panama™ Red Coneflowers is crucial to ensure they thrive. Look for an area that receives ample sunlight, but some shade can also be beneficial for optimal growth. For optimal growth, it's important to make sure that your garden bed has proper drainage. This will help your Panama™ Red Coneflower thrive in your garden. When planting your Echinacea, it's important to create a hole that is double the width of the root ball. Make sure to place it at the same depth as it was in the container. Ensure that there is enough space between plants, typically around 16-18 inches, to accommodate their eventual growth.

Watering:

Ensure that the plants receive a thorough watering after they have been planted in order to promote the development of their root system. Once established, the Panama™ Red Coneflower is quite resilient to drought, but it benefits from consistent watering during periods of dry weather to maintain its health and encourage vibrant blooming. It is important to maintain a consistent level of moisture in the soil without overwatering.

Mulching:

Applying a layer of mulch around the base of the plants can be quite beneficial. It helps in retaining soil moisture, suppressing weeds, and regulating soil temperature. Opt for organic mulch options like wood chips or bark, ensuring to maintain a safe distance from the plant's stems to avoid any potential rot.

Pruning:

Regularly removing spent blooms will help promote ongoing flowering and keep your garden looking tidy. During the transition from fall to winter or from winter to spring, it is recommended to trim the Panama™ Red Coneflower to a height of approximately 3 to 4 inches above the ground. This encourages the development of strong new foliage and readies the plant for the approaching period of growth.
